5 Rescued LLAMAS PREGNANT & INJURED NEED TREATMENT

We need your help desperately. Caring for these girls who are pregnant means 6-7 months on site being pregnant, then another 6 months while nursing their crias, another 1 1/2 years (for male crias) before they can be castrated & adopted out. 2 1/2 years of feed, medical care, special grain, minerals, shearing, housing, and love.

LATTE sustained over 15 individual bites, punctures, or tears from the dog attacks. A cria was seen in an ultrasound and she is due in the fall. She is the older of the 5 rescues. Her daily schedule is to flush all the open pockets with a saline solution and check for any new infection. She is 195lbs and should be at least 250. Trying to put weight on while she is pregnant is the trick.
A mother llama watched her cria being attacked and killed by dogs. The momma llama fought so hard she inturn sustained deadly injuries but is currently being treated. 3 llamas, terminally injured, fought for their lives, dyed from the massacre after suffering without medical care.
8 other llamas on site had also endured continual attacks as well as were starved, endured gaping dog bite tears on their legs, hips, groin, and under their bellies.
This is a story that should never have to be told. It is a rescue that will require many man hours as well as financial assistance.
3 females coming off of this rescue are fighting to stay alive, starved, and pregnant. 2 young males are also undergoing daily medical treatment.
The next month is crucial for nutritional and medical 24 hour care for 3 females whose crias were seen by ultrasound. Without it, not only could the crias (unborn llama babies) be aborted, but the mom's could die with them. Please support this emergency rescue of Yakima 5 Llama Rescue.
