Steve is 37, which is far too young to be collecting hospital bracelets like they are stamps in his passport... but here we are. Steve is currently in heart failure and will be transferred to Toronto General so he can be surrounded by the best team of smart heart folks.

While Steve focuses on the very important job of staying alive (and charming hospital staff), Sara — his partner, and calm-in-the-chaos human — is right beside him. Together, they now need to temporarily relocate to Toronto so Steve can start the heart transplant journey.

This isn’t the plot twist they planned for, but if there’s one thing Steve and Sara do well, it’s showing up for each other. This fundraiser is about easing the practical stress so they can focus on what really matters: healing, hope, and getting Steve a brand-new heart.
