Steve and Laurie Martin hurricane Ian relief fund

Hi! My name is Laura Saturansky I’ve organized this fundraiser for our family members, two kind souls who lost everything in the recent hurricane Ian. Laurie and Steve are life long musicians who have called Fort Myers Beach (ground zero with direct impact) home for over 25 years. Laurie and Steve are the type of people everyone adores.Their kindness, selflessness and love for art and music makes them such special people. Unfortunately the plan of easing into retirement at age 60 &70 was abruptly changed when Ian came along and wiped away an entire life’s work, their beloved community, their belongings and their livelihoods. My hope is that we can come together and surround them with all the love and support, and some funds to help them begin to rebuild their lives. Insurance can be very tricky in these tragedies and it’s  very likely they will not get much help from them if any. This is where we, the community comes in. All donations will go directly to them so that they can begin the process of rebuilding while healing from the loss of their community, friends who lost their lives and a town who will mourn the devastation for a long time to come. They are resilient, they will rebuild, they will get back to evenings of guitar playing, singing and enjoying the fruits of their work but they need us!
