The Woodlands Food Drive Initiative

Tax deductible
Everyone has been hurt by the new COVID-19 pandemic.

Hundreds of families in The Woodlands are struggling to put food on the table. Meanwhile, food banks and pantries have been losing donations and in-person fundraisers. This has made it hard to help those in need.

But we are determined to do something about this.

We are a group of 15 local high schoolers from The Woodlands, Tx. We're asking our community to donate to help food banks buy more food and distribute them to people in need.

So far, we have run physical food drives in neighborhoods all around The Woodlands. We have gone to over 50 neighborhoods and received over 11,000 pounds of donations from our kind community!

But we want to help out more. That’s why we are hosting this monetary fundraiser to amplify our impact. Did you know every dollar donated equals 5 meals donated?

We hope that you can chip in whatever amount you can. Thank you!

All funds will go to the Montgomery County Food Bank.

More information about Montgomery County Food Bank, Inc.: The mission of Montgomery County Food Bank is to feed the hungry of Montgomery County through the assistance of partner agencies and also to support the county in disaster relief. Our vision is simple yet powerful - to end hunger in our community. Montgomery County Food Bank (MCFB) collects, purchases and delivers food to a network of 36 Food Pantries located throughout a county that covers over 1,000 square miles. MCFB works with an additional 16 community partners to furnish food through mobile pantries, safe houses, residential programs critical care centers, pet rescue agencies and emergency shelters. Member agencies are accountable for food received and distributed and must qualify as a charitable institution in accordance with Texas laws. Montgomery Country Food Bank provides the most cost-effective way for over 50 separate agencies to access the greatest variety of food and necessities in volume, enabling them to use more of their funds to provide additional services to their clients. This method of collaboration, along with MCFB's own programs, allowed the Food Bank to collect and distribute more than seven million pounds of food, providing millions of nutritious meals to an average of 35,000 food-insecure children, adults and seniors each month during 2015. For each dollar donated, MCFB delivered 3.5 nutritious meals.
