Stepping Out for the Homeless
The Coalition for the homeless was founded in 1979 and incorporated as a nonprofit in the District of Columbia in 1981. The Coalition’s mission is to transition homeless and at-risk individuals and families to self-sufficiency through housing programs and supportive services.
By one or two paychecks away anyone one of us could be at-risk of becoming homeless. The Pandemic has highlighted the importance of the Coalition’s mission right now, protecting our vulnerable communities is more critical than ever.
We know that individuals and families who are homeless are more at risk when it comes to the corona virus. It’s hard to stay healthy without access to a house and health care. It’s hard to practice social distancing. This is particularly challenging for individuals and families who are homeless.
Let’s unite as a community to help homeless men, women, and children through this crises. You have the opportunity right now to make a donation. Every cent helps. We need your support now more than ever. You support will provide food, shelter, clothes and supportive services.
Please open your pockets and your hearts and make a donation.
