In March 2025, I adopted a sweet and cuddly cat who needed a loving home. At the time, I didn't realize how expensive this venture was going to be. Stella, at only 2 years old, had gotten gingivostomatitis. Gingivostomatitis is described as a severe and painful inflammation in the mouth, primarily affecting the gums.
This condition had caused Stella to stop eating anything. I tried everything from chicken broth to soups with catnip, but she was in too much pain. When I took her to the vet and was told she needed surgery, I sobbed. The surgery was expensive, but her quality of life was deteriorating with every passing hour.
Stella came back from her surgery with only 4 canines left. Now primarily eating wet food, she is as happy and goofy as can be. However, this vet bill has been extremely difficult to pay off. It's been a struggle affording rent and groceries, leaving very little for this bill.
If you are able to donate anything at all, that would be greatly appreciated! If you're not able to donate, just sharing this post helps immensely!
Thank you so much,
Merlyn & Stella
