As you may or may not know, Stefan McIntyre and his wife, Desirae, recently welcomed their first child to the family.
Like so many families, Stefan and Des have been adversely affected by the economic fallout from COVID-19. In the weeks leading up to the birth, they also needed to manage the challenge of transitioning to a single income family for the foreseeable future.
Stefan is taking time off to care for Des and the kiddo, but, unfortunately, due to Stefan's service time, he is ineligible for paternity leave and has limited PTO available.
In order to help Stefan and Des make ends meet, we are crowdsourcing some funds from friends and co-workers to help close the gap between the Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave program and the cost of living.
I know this is a tough time for everyone, and our finances may already be stretched thin for various reasons, but if you can find room in your budget to make a donation, Stefan and Des would be very grateful for whatever you're able to contribute.
