I am starting this fundraiser because I am facing unemployment due to current immigration policies and the termination of Temporary Protected Status for Haitian nationals. I have been carrying this quietly, and it has brought emotional and mental distress during an already difficult season of my life. While I am seeking permanent residency, I am currently unauthorized to legally work in the United States.
Beginning after 10 am on Tuesday, November 10th, 2026, I am at risk of eviction from my home in Atlanta. My loved ones have done all they can to support me up to this point, but I have reached a place where I need to ask for help from my wider community.
The most urgent need right now is my past-due rent balance of $1978, including the late fee. Covering that balance would help me avoid eviction and give me some immediate stability while I work through this setback. Additional resources will go towards other emergency expenses I am currently facing.
This has been hard every single day, but I am doing my best to remain resilient. I am currently pursuing my part-time Evening MBA at Emory University's Goizueta Business School, and after building a solid career over the past six years, this period has caused me to question where I am in life. Even so, I am still trying to keep moving forward.
If you are able to give, any amount would mean so much to me right now. If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser with your network would also be a huge help. Thank you for your support, care, and kindness during this time.
