Startup Fund for Good and Plenty Producer's Club

We are the Good + Plenty Producer's Club, a collective of women and gender-non-conforming Manitobans interested in or working in the music production and audio engineering industries (or a related field). It all started with a few pals chatting about their experiences in the music industry, specifically as women or enby music producers trying to overcome obstacles in a male-dominated field. Then we said, why don't we do something about it?

We are a group of (currently) roughly 75 folks who are part of a Facebook group and email newsletter chain that post about opportunities, share insight about things we've learned or helpful programs to check out, and have meetups and mixers to chat about music and life. We also have a podcast where the host interviews women and non-binary producers/engineers from across Canada to hear their stories. We have a lot of plans, but we are just getting started.

We are asking you, our community, to support us by helping raise $2000 toward startup costs for the Good + Plenty Producer's Club. This fund will help make our programming open and accessible for all as we get started, as financial stress is a significant obstacle for women and non-binary people entering the audio industry. This fund will also help us continue to pay upkeep costs associated with the podcast and website.
