Starting The Gulf Coast Skateparks Association

My name is Tyler Prowant, and I am a skateboarder from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I have been skateboarding for 20 years. I have been sponsored and owned a skateboarding business. I have traveled worldwide, skateboarding at over 132 different skateparks within the United States, Europe, and Africa. As you can see, I love skateboarding.

Skateboarding has become popular again due to its debut in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Skateboarders all over the world are picking up skateboarders for the first time. This is the same here on the Gulf Coast, but my skateboarding friends and I have noticed a great need for free public-use skateparks because there are none along our beautiful coast.

The local community of skaters and I dream of a vibrant and thriving skateboarding community with free public-use skateparks in as many towns and cities as possible. We plan to establish The Gulf Coast Skateparks Association to make this dream a reality. Our organization will aim to grow the skateboarding community and build free public-use skateparks along the Gulf Coast. This organization will interface with city officials and be the community's voice to help usher in a new era of skateboarding for the community.

The funds you donate will go directly to facilitating the formation of our organization with the state, filing for our 5013c status with the IRS, and paying the legal advisor company we are using, The Foundation Group. Altogether, these fees will add up to about $3,500. Any additional money raised through the fundraiser will be set aside for furthering our future organization's mission.
