በስኮትላንድ ሀገር ለምትገኘው ብቸኛዋ የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተክርስቲያን ሕንጻ ቤተክርስቲያን የተገዛበትን እዳ ለመክፈል በሚደረገው ጥረት በመሳተፍ ከእግዚአብሔር በረከት ተካፈሉ።

ግላስጎ ደብረሲና ቅድስት አርሴማ ማን ናት?

የግላስጎ ደብረሲና ቅድስት አርሴማ ቤተክርስትያን ላለፉት አሥርት ዓመታት በስኮትላንድ ሀገር በግላስጎ እና አካባቢው ላሉ ምእመናን መጽናኛ በመሆን ትውልድን ከጥፋት፣ ምእመናንን ተስፋ ከመቁረጥ እና ከመንፈሳዊ ዝለት በመታደግ እያገለገለች ያለች ብቸኛዋ የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተክርስቲያን ናት፡፡ ሆኖም ግን ቤተክርስቲያኗ የራሷ ሕንጻ ቤተክርስቲያን ባለመኖሩ ምክንያት መጠነ ሰፊ ችግሮችን እያሳለፈች ትገኛለች፡፡

ለምሳሌ የቃል ኪዳኑ ታቦት እና ንዋየ ቅድሳት ከቦታ ወደ ቦታ በማዘዋወር ለከፍተኛ እንግልት መዳረጉ፣ የነገዋን ቤተክርስቲያን የሚረከቡ ታዳጊ ሕጻናትን ሥርዓተ ቤተክርስቲያንን እና ነገረ ሃይማኖትን በሰፊው ማስተማር አለመቻሉ፣ ሥርዓተ ቅዳሴ በወር አንድጊዜ ብቻ እንዲሆን መገደዱ ተጠቃሾች ናቸው፡፡

ሆኖም ግን በልዑል እግዚአብሔር መልካም ፈቃድ፣ በእመ አምላክ ምልጃ እና በቅድስት አርሴማ እርዳታ የዘመናት እንባችን ሊታበስ፣ የቃልኪዳኑ ታቦት በተቀደስው ማረፊያው ላይ ሊከብር፣ ህጻናት በሥርዓተ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ተኮትኩተው ሊያድጉ እነሆ የመጨረሻው ምዕራፍ ላይ እንገኛለን፡፡ ይህም ከላይ የምትመለከቱትን በአይነቱ ልዩ የሆነ ቤተክርስቲያን በጨረታ ያሸነፍን ሲሆን ሕንጻውን ሙሉ በሙሉ ለመረከብ የመጨረሻውን ክፍያ በአጭር ጊዜ ውስጥ መፈጸም ይገባናል፡፡ ለዚህም ሰፊ የድጋፍ ማሰባሰብ ሥራዎችን እየሠራን እንገኛለን፡፡

ይህ ቤተክርስቲያን ከላይ የጠቀስናቸውን መሠረታዊ ችግሮች ከመቅረፍም ባሻገር የነገዋን ቅድስት ቤተክርስቲያን በምዕራቡ ዓለም ለማስቀጠል፣ ሀገራዊ መልካም እሴቶችን እና ኢትዮጵያዊ ባህልን ለማስተዋወቅ ጉልህ አስተዋጽኦ ይኖረዋል፡፡

ስለዚህ በዚህ ታሪካዊ ሥራ ላይ የተቻላችሁን ሁሉ ድጋፍ በማድረግ የማይጠፋ አሻራችሁን እንድታሳርፉ እገዛችሁን ስንጠይቅ በፍጹም መንፈሳዊ መተማመን ነው፡፡ የምታደርጉት ማንኛውም አይነት ድጋፍ ለእኛ ትልቅ ዋጋ አለው። የበረከትም ስራ ስለሆነ ምንም ያክል ትንሽ ቢሆን ከመስጠት እንዳታመነቱ ስንል በሰማዕቷ ቅድስት አርሴማ ስም ጥሪያችንን እናስተላልፋለን፡፡

ስለምታደርጉልን ቀና ድጋፍ በልዑል እግዚአብሔር ስም ከልብ እናመሰግናለን፡፡

Who is Glasgow Debre Sina St. Arsema?

The Debre Sina St. Arsema Church in Glasgow is the only Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church in Scotland. For the past decade, it has served the Orthodox Tewahedo Church community in and around Glasgow as a source of comfort for the faithful, saving generations from ruin and rescuing congregants from despair and spiritual complacency. However, the church faces significant challenges due to lack of its own building.

For example the Ark of the Covenant and other Holy Relics endure great hardship when moved from place to place, the inability to widely teach the Church’s traditions and religious teachings to the growing children who will inherit the Church of tomorrow, the Holy Communion and liturgy service being limited to only once a month are notable examples.

However, by the gracious will of Almighty God, the intercession of the Mother of God, and the help of Saint Arsema, we have reached at the final stage where our years of tears to be wiped away. Thus, the Ark of the Covenant can be honoured in its holy resting place, and children can grow up nurtured in the traditions of the Church. We won the bid for the astonishing church building pictured above and must make the final payment to take full possession of the building very soon. For this, we are undertaking extensive fundraising efforts.

This church will not only address the fundamental problems we mentioned above but also make a significant contribution to continuing the Holy Church in the Western world and will also promote national values and Ethiopian culture.

Therefore, it is with complete spiritual confidence we humbly ask for your help in making your indelible mark on this historic endeavour by providing all the support you can. Any kind of support you offer is of great value to us. And because it is a work of blessing, we urge you not to hesitate to give, no matter how small, in the name of the martyr St. Arsema.
