Starry Summer with Shooting Star Productions!

Hello! My name is Tiany B, and I am the founder of my mutual aid artistry platform Shooting Star Productions, where activism and artistry intersect! 

This summer, I am raising at least $2,500-$3000 to receive financial support so I can deliver more amazing events for my community! Our biggest projects will be the Solange Listening Party/ Fashion show, and our trip to Philly with Art Album! This will also help me cover things such as food, crafting/ informational materials, transportion, decorations, venue bookings, and more. Besides receiving aid from my community when I am short, I fund these events myself and could always use more support. I began my work as a community organizer with my annual mutual aid showcase “Night Of Stars” on February 23, 2024, which was inspired by witnessing collectives in the city provide donation based entry and meals to our community, as well as safe spaces for artists. Since then I’ve produced 20+ events, all with the help of the community that has embraced me. My goal with SSP is to show what collective action can accomplish, because we are all we have! I’ve done my best to create access for the dreamers of the city because we all deserve to be witnessed in our light, and I’ve found light in every single STAR I come across. I am incredibly grateful for the support that I receive and I hope you can invest in my vision!
