This fundraiser supports South Carolina Starbucks Workers United partners. We are part of a national movement of over 12,000 Starbucks workers currently fighting for a fair contract.
In 2024, Starbucks promised to finalize our first contract by the end of the year. In total, we've been fighting for that contract for over 3 years now, and the company still refuses to bargain with us for better pay, benefits, and protections. The current CEO, Brian Niccol, made nearly $98 million last year, or 6,666 times more than the average Starbucks worker.
Meanwhile, on September 25, 2025, Starbucks announced a huge wave of sudden closures and layoffs as part of a "restructuring plan" to cut costs, leaving hundreds of baristas uprooted at best and unemployed at worst.
Workers are asking Starbucks to make an investment in us, our stores, and provide us the resources we need to do our jobs.
Any donations from this fund will support workers facing hardship during the holiday season and give us the ability to fight for a fair contract.
