Starbucks on Strike! Time to tip your baristas.

Hi, my name is Sage Quigley and I am a barista at Starbucks in Overland Park, KS.

After enduring unfair labor practices, my fellow partners came together and became the first store in the Midwest to organize a union. Shortly thereafter we experienced union busting tactics including unjust write ups, reduced hours, threats of felony theft, and more. In the last ten days, three partners were terminated—right before the vote count on April 8th.

My team is on strike until April 11th to stand in solidarity with these partners. I am raising funds for all partners experiencing financial hardship from this sudden loss of income.

Workers across the Nation deserve better. It’s time to come together, with a united voice and demand change in the workplace. Tip your local barista in support of the change that’s brewing!
