Hi, I’m Stanley – and in 2026, I’m heading to Tanzania to make a difference.
I’ll be taking part in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to support local communities and the environment through hands-on volunteer projects. My time in Tanzania will be dedicated to vital community development work such as building and refurbishing classrooms and public buildings, improving village infrastructure, and installing much-needed water storage systems.
Alongside this, I’ll be involved in meaningful environmental projects aimed at tackling deforestation, climate change, and protecting wildlife habitats. From planting trees and digging water holes to even making paper from elephant dung – I’ll be getting stuck in wherever I’m needed most.
To help fund this important trip, I’m taking on a challenge: I’ll be climbing the UK’s three highest peaks – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon – over three consecutive days. This Three Peaks Challenge is no small feat, but it’s my way of showing commitment and raising awareness for the work I’ll be doing in Tanzania.
This journey isn’t just about giving back – it’s about cultural exchange, personal growth, and making a real impact. I’ll be working closely with local communities, learning their way of life, sharing stories, and even joining in a game of football when the work is done!
But I can’t do this alone. I’m raising funds to help cover the costs of this volunteer experience – from travel and accommodation to the tools and materials needed for the projects on the ground. Every contribution, big or small, brings me one step closer to being able to help make a lasting impact in Tanzania.
Thank you so much for your support. Let’s build something amazing together.
