Stanfield IVF Fund

As many of our family and friends know, we have been on this fertility journey for 5 long years. We started this process in Birmingham where we did many drug assisted natural cycles before moving forward with several rounds of IUI (in laymen’s terms “fancy turkey baster” with lots of drugs to stimulate my ovaries). After no success for a couple of years, our doctor recommended we do exploratory surgery which diagnosed me with stage 2 endometriosis. They burned out as much endometriosis as they could and put me back on medication for one more round of IUI. Still no success. After this we made the move to Memphis and got put on the long waitlist to get into Fertility Associates of Memphis. We were finally ready to start the egg retrieval process for IVF (in vitro fertilization). But endless blood tests and procedures deduced that my eggs were not going to be able to create viable embryos. We took a few months to discuss our options: embryo adoption, egg donation, or traditional adoption. In the end we decided that even though I could not be genetically related to our child, at least Peter should be, so we flipped through a Tinder-like website to find our best match for an egg donor. We received 7 eggs from her which after fertilization resulted in 4 embryos. Our first FET (frozen embryo transfer) went great and we finally got that positive pregnancy test we had been waiting 5 years for! But unfortunately it was deemed a chemical pregnancy and I miscarried a week later. We are left with 3 more frozen embryos and an empty bank account. Insurance covers basic things like ultrasounds buy everything else comes out of pocket. We are grateful for the monetary (and emotional) help we’ve been given by family, friends, and smaller fundraisers but we could really use some help to get our miracle baby. Below is a short list of what some of things have cost us so far:

3 IUIs- $1200

Endometriosis surgery- $2000

2 Sonohysterograms- $800

HSG- $500

Donor Eggs- $15,000

FET drugs - $800

FET- $3000

And probably $5000 worth of bloodwork...

We know that these are hard times financially for many of y’all. Covid certainly rocked all of our worlds but we appreciate anything you can spare to help us. Baby dust and love to everyone else going through the fertility process too❤️❤️❤️
