On Tuesday night (January 13th, 2026), my son attempted to commit suicide. He has been battling mental health issues for several years, and Tuesday night was the night he decided that it was too much to handle. He took approximately 115 pills and cut his arms as a desperate attempt to no longer live. It's extremely difficult to see your child go through something like that and to know that your child has more will to die than to live.

I called 911 immediately, and within a short amount of time, the ambulance was able to get him to the hospital. He was unresponsive and was having seizures that the hospital couldn't stop. He was then sedated and put on a ventilator to breathe for him as he no longer could breathe for himself. While sedated, he continued to have seizures that the hospital staff was struggling to get under control despite how amazing they all were. They finally were able to stop the seizures long enough to life flight him to another hospital, but by the time they arrived at the other hospital, he began to have seizures again.

I am the only one working to pay bills in my home, and I work 2 jobs with no days off to make sure everything gets paid. I have been at the hospital with my son since this happened and have not worked either of my jobs at all so I can be with him. His mom and stepdad have also taken a loss financially trying to be there for our son causing them to have to miss work, and spend a lot of money in gas going back and forth. If anyone is able to help at all, it would be greatly appreciated, and if you're not able to help, that is absolutely fine as well. I just figured I'd try to stay afloat in the midst of this terrifying situation. Please hold your family close because you never know if they will be here tomorrow as it is never promised.
