My name is Trina Sheets. My family and I are seeking help for my brother Travis Davis who has developed a kidney disease at 53 years old and will need a transplant. He is going for dialysis 3 times a week while remaining at work. He wants to continue working and is hoping disability won’t be the outcome. If it becomes necessary, he has been told that there is a 5-month waiting period. He is missing a lot of work due to the 1-hour drive and the 4-hour dialysis time. He has used up all of his vacation time and, as of January, his sick time. He currently (as of anyone this age) still has a home mortgage and daily expenses. He has had several surgeries as there have been issues with his port that is accessed to do dialysis and other problems. He and his wife Lisa have 3 boys, 2 of which are at home.

We are trying to raise funds for travel expenses and Medicare premiums. We are also starting the process of finding a kidney donor. We as a family are providing the necessary information to be tested to see if any of us are eligible. Friends are encouraged to consider it also as not everyone is a match. Any donor's medical expenses are paid in full. There are currently 90,000 patients in the US waiting for a kidney. Travis’s faith in God continues to carry him forward in this trial. He is praying for a miracle to help fight this. Any help, big or small, will be greatly appreciated.
