My name is Torey Grunwell. I am a local housekeeper and single mom. I am currently being sued by a local Church for exposing the truth. In March 2024, I was made aware the treasurer and a traveling evangelist named pastor. Tommy Pinkerton was charged with multiple counts of child sex crimes. This investigation is spanning across multiple states. The church I attended since 2020 hosted Pinkerton often having him preach at youth events. When the lead pastor was made aware of the scandal surfacing, he scrubbed the websites and hid all of the information from his congregation and the families who deserved answers. In March, I accidentally found out from a client of mine who had also left the church, but had an inside connection and details to the ongoing investigation. I immediately confronted the lead pastor and was ostracized and kicked out of the church. I did threaten him. With millstones… I plead guilty. To malicious use of technology in September 2025. I thought this was over. Pinkerton is in prison and the congregation was made aware. May 5 I received a summons to the 17th circuit court in Grand Rapids, Michigan along with WZZM channel 13. The church is suing us on eight counts of defamation, libel, harassment, pursuing damages for his church losing money… a church with no benevolence, no food pantry, no homeless shelter.
