With heavy hearts yet deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the home-going of Amanda Sikes, who went to be with the Lord far too soon.

Amanda Sikes was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Joseph Sikes, and a faithful partner in ministry as a pastor’s wife. She was a loving and intentional mother to her seven children, whom she homeschooled with patience, wisdom, and unwavering dedication. Her home was a place of faith, learning, laughter, and open arms.

Beyond her family, Amanda Sikes faithfully served her community as a city alderman, always advocating with compassion, integrity, and a servant’s heart. She also poured herself into others through the homeschool co-op she led, encouraging families, mentoring mothers, and building a community rooted in love, support, and faith in Christ.

She was a friend to many and a source of comfort to all. Her kindness was steady, her words thoughtful, and her care genuine. Whether through prayer, service, or quiet presence, she made people feel seen, valued, and loved.

Though her life on earth was far too short, her legacy of faith, service, and love will continue through the countless lives she touched.
