On December 20th our family received devastating news. My father Alejandro Lorenzo was arrested by immigration and customs enforcement authorities. My mother Paula Lorenzo and my brother Alexander Lorenzo were in the car with him when this happened. This was a very traumatic situation for our family. They were on their way to pick up a family friend to take to church because she did not have a ride. He was pulled over immediately after leaving his house. He is currently detained in Los Angeles and awaiting transfer. Alejandro Lorenzo has a wife Paula, 4 children, 2 of them which are minors. He also just recently became a grandfather. He has been living in California for more than 20 years without a criminal record. He is a hardworking and honest man that has always provided for his family. He is a man of God that is always attending and helping his church. Always putting others before himself. With his recent detainment this has brought so much stress and sadness to the family. Our family is asking for help with legal fees, and expenses. We know times can be tough, but anything anyone can do to help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you could please share this with family and friends so that our father gets the help he needs to petition to stay with his family.
UPDATE: February 2, 2026
i just wanna start by saying Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your help and support. We appreciate everyone’s generosity, and being there for our family in these tough times. Just wanted to keep everyone updated on my father’s situation. After being processed in Los Angeles my dad was sent to Adelanto Ice processing center where he was being housed the last 5 weeks. It was the best of a bad situation. He was still incarcerated, but he was close to home and still in California. We received notice that he was transferred without warning on Feb 1st Sunday night to a facility in El Paso Texas. We are very worried as we have learned that the conditions at this facility aren’t the best. Also him being far away makes it hard to visit him. We will try to keep everyone updated on his current situation. We hope to hear from him soon. Thank you again to everyone pulling together and being there for my father and our family.
