Hi everyone, my name is Brenna, and I’m the youngest (and only) sister of Sean Hosey.
At just 43 years old, Sean has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Vallecula (throat cancer). In the coming weeks, he’ll begin an intense treatment plan that includes both radiation and chemotherapy. We’re still learning what the road ahead will look like — how long treatment will take, how it will affect him afterward, and when (or if) he’ll be able to return to work.
Sean and his wife, Jess, are facing a difficult and uncertain journey while continuing to care for their two young children — a 6-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son — and managing all the regular bills and responsibilities that come with daily life. The financial strain of medical costs, travel for specialized care, and lost income will quickly add up.
Sean would never ask for help himself — that’s just who he is. He’s quiet, humble, and private. But he’s also a devoted dad, husband, brother, and friend who has always shown up for the people he loves. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
I’m asking for donations to help ease the financial burden this diagnosis brings — to give Sean and Jess some peace of mind as they focus on what truly matters: Sean’s recovery and their family’s well-being.
Your support, in any amount, will make a meaningful difference. Whether it’s helping cover travel costs, medical bills, or missed paychecks, every bit helps lighten their load and bring hope to a family navigating an unimaginably tough time.
Thank you for your love, generosity, and well-wishes. I’ll continue to share updates as we learn more about Sean’s treatment and progress.
With love and gratitude,
Brenna
