Hi friends,
My name is Sarah, and I’m raising funds for my little sister Rae during one of the most challenging times of her life. If you know me, you know Rae is my best friend.
Rae has lived with Type 1 Diabetes since she was seven years old. Despite her strength and determination, years of managing this chronic illness have led to severe complications. She is now facing stage five kidney disease and is about to begin dialysis while awaiting placement on the kidney transplant list.
Because dialysis and frequent medical appointments take such a heavy physical toll, Rae is no longer able to work. She has applied for disability benefits, but the approval process can take months. In the meantime, she still needs help covering everyday necessities like rent, groceries, utilities, and transportation to medical appointments.
Even through all of this, Rachel shows incredible resilience. She is currently working hard to complete her bachelor’s degree in psychology and is preparing to begin her master’s program in social work. Her dream is to help others overcome their struggles the same way she has fought to manage her own health challenges for most of her life. I want nothing more than for her to accomplish this.
The financial burden of dialysis, ongoing medical care, and basic living expenses is overwhelming. We are reaching out to our community for support so Rachel can focus on her health and education without the constant fear of financial instability.
Any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser or keeping Rachel in your thoughts and prayers is appreciated!!
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and support during this difficult time.
Much love ❤️
