Standing with Our Injured Firefighter

Donation protected
Guillermo Mollins, a dedicated City of Newburgh firefighter and proud member of Local 589, and also a U.S. Army veteran, was seriously injured last week when he was struck by a wrong-way driver in a devastating motor vehicle accident. Due to the severity of his injuries, he requires multiple ongoing surgeries and a long recovery. Because he is relatively new to the department, his available sick leave will only cover him for a limited time and once that is exhausted, he will need to take a leave of absence to recover, during which time he will receive no pay.

He is a loving father to his 10 year old son and donations raised through this fund will help offset medical costs, cover essential living expenses, and provide stability and support for his son during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with your family, friends, and local fire departments. Let’s come together as a community to support one of our own — someone who has who has repeatedly answered the call to serve others.
Keep Guillermo Mollins and his family in your prayers.
