My name is Anne Gill and I am raising money for my oldest brother, Nicholas Yamashita. On December 5th, he was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery and masses were found and biopsied. On December 15th, the doctors broke the news that the masses were cancerous. The cancer is Anaplastic Large T Cell Lymphoma. This cancer is a rare, aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, but Nick’s doctors are optimistic that his was found early and can be treated with six sessions of chemotherapy. He starts chemo on January 30th. It’s every 3 weeks for 6 sessions through a portal IV. During all of this, he will be out of work until March 23rd and which time they will re-evaluate his progress to see if he can return to work. Any money raised will be used for living expenses, such as rent and bills, and to help pay medical expenses that insurance doesn’t cover.
