Update as of 8/28/2026

My children and I are going through a very difficult situation; my husband is in Colombia, and we are in great need. I am going to leave the country because I am on my own; the separation caused by ICE four months ago has been incredibly hard on our family. We will use the funds we are requesting—and for which we are truly grateful to those who help us—to return to our home country, support ourselves, rent a new home, and make a fresh start after this unfortunate ordeal. We are simply immigrants who wanted to build a future for our children, as the economic situation in our home countries is very difficult. Thank you, United States, for opening your doors to us, but now it is time for us to leave and live a calmer life, free from the fear of being detained by ICE when we go out. Thank you.
