Sara Cox, known to so many of our children as Ms. Cox, is a beloved preschool teacher at South Roanoke Methodist Preschool. If you have ever watched her greet a child at drop-off, calm a worried heart, or celebrate a small victory like it was the biggest thing in the world, then you know what kind of person and teacher she is. She does not just teach; she helps little ones feel safe, seen, and loved.

Recently, Ms. Cox broke her leg, severely. The break required surgical repair. Sara must remain non-weight bearing for 6-8 weeks while she heals. That is a long time to be away from the children she cares about so deeply, and it is also a long time to carry the weight of medical costs and everyday bills without her normal income.

Sara is not only an amazing preschool teacher. She is also the proud mama of her 16-year-old son, Caeden, and her beloved dog, Mercury. She works a second job at a restaurant called The Porch to help make ends meet for her and her family.

I am setting up this GoFundMe because Ms. Cox has spent her days giving to others. Now it is our turn to hold her up. Donations will help with medical expenses, rehabilitation, and basic living expenses while she recovers.
