<div>Sara Cox, known to so many of our children as Ms. Cox, is a beloved preschool teacher at South Roanoke Methodist Preschool. If you have ever watched her greet a child at drop-off, calm a worried heart, or celebrate a small victory like it was the biggest thing in the world, then you know what kind of person and teacher she is. She does not just teach; she helps little ones feel safe, seen, and loved.

<div>Recently, <strong>Ms. Cox broke her leg, severely</strong>. The break required surgical repair. Sara must remain non-weight bearing for 6-8 weeks while she heals. That is a long time to be away from the children she cares about so deeply, and it is also a long time to carry the weight of medical costs and everyday bills without her normal income.

<div>Sara is not only an amazing preschool teacher. She is also the proud mama of her 16-year-old son, Caeden, and her beloved dog, Mercury. She works a second job at a restaurant called The Porch to help make ends meet for her and her family.
