During the morning of 1/10, Melissa Perez (mother) was admitted to the hospital under complications with her oxygen levels and ability to breathe becoming significantly low. Unfortunately, after a surgical biopsy, she has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis, which is an attack on her respiratory organs and system. This has caused a decrease in her ability to do everyday tasks, including her tamale business.

As you all know, or may find out to know, my beloved mother owns Tamales2go, locally loved in the West Monroe/Monroe area for their great HOT tamales! With this setback, we have been unable to attend to the business, which has put a stump financially with medical bills and housing bills. We are just asking if anyone can help or support through this time or just share our journey! We will keep updates going as things come back. Currently, she will be signed under Tulane for a lung transplant for if that time comes! We are praying and staying in good spirits that a complete healing will come quickly for my mom.
