Dear Friends and Community,

I am a single mother doing everything I can to protect stability, safety, and continuity for my daughters, aged 8 and 11. I have been involved in extensive custody proceedings for the past five years. As a musician and nature-based educator with limited financial resources, I have represented myself in court for every hearing.

In June of 2025, the court awarded me primary physical custody out of concern for the children’s emotional well-being while in their father’s care. Since that time, I have dedicated my complete focus and energy to supporting the complex recovery needs of my children alongside a busy school routine. Meanwhile, their father has continued to escalate matters in court. He now seeks to overturn the court order, regain custody, and restrict contact between the girls and their extended family members.

We are facing an important custody hearing on March 17 before a new judge, and I need legal representation to ensure that my children’s needs are clearly and fairly represented.

This is not a situation I ever imagined for us. I’ve worked hard to create balance in our lives, and to approach co-parenting in good faith. The prolonged stress of the past year has negatively impacted my health. I can no longer manage everything alone.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward legal fees, including:

• Attorney retainer and preparation

• Court representation at the upcoming hearing

• Guidance to advocate for my children’s best interests
