Standing with Garrett and Dani Through Recovery
$9,757 raised of $20K
On Saturday, August 8th, while competing at the North/South 100, Garrett Alberson was struck in the face by a metal object on the track. Despite the severe impact, he managed to bring his car to a safe stop, exit, and drop to his knees. Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series officials quickly reached him, and he was immediately transported to the nearest trauma center.
The force of the impact indented and smashed his helmet into his head. Garrett suffered a broken nose, multiple facial fractures, a laceration above his eye, and is currently experiencing blurry vision. Because of these injuries, he will need dedicated time to heal.
Anyone who knows Garrett knows him as one of the most kind, humble, and genuine people you could ever meet. Over the years, he has earned a stellar reputation as a clean, honest, and fiercely dedicated driver who works tirelessly every day.
Racing is not only his passion—it is his family's livelihood. While Garrett heals—and as he and Dani prepare to welcome their second baby—this GoFundMe was created and organized by friends, family, and racing peers who simply want to help Garrett and Dani during this time and take some of the financial weight off their shoulders. The outpouring of love and support they’ve already received has been overwhelming and deeply meaningful.
Thank you so much for helping Garrett and Dani through this time so they can focus on healing and moving forward with peace of mind.
