Standing with Eric: Help Our Hero Heal

If you know Eric, you know he’s one of the strongest, most stubborn, and most faithful people out there. He’s a 100% disabled veteran who’s spent his life pushing through every obstacle without ever asking for help. But now, he needs us.

A few days ago, Eric was rushed to the hospital with pneumonia in his left lung, a dangerously high fever, and low oxygen levels. He’s now admitted, on oxygen and IV antibiotics, and undergoing full-body scans to check his spinal cord and other systems. This is on top of fighting through years of spinal cord damage, degenerative disc disease, hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, PTSD, severe anxiety, and sleep apnea.

He’s been carrying so much for so long — and even now, he’s fighting with everything he has.

Eric’s road to recovery isn’t going to be easy. He’ll need ongoing hospital care, mobility equipment, and eventually, a service dog trained to help with balance, spinal cord injuries, PTSD, and medical alerts. Insurance doesn’t cover everything he’s going to need to truly heal and live independently again.

I’m creating this GoFundMe to help Eric with:

Medical expenses and therapies not fully covered by insurance

A service dog

Mobility equipment like a wheelchair and stability aids

Traveling expenses to get his wife and family to him quicker

Travel and living expenses while he’s in recovery

Any emergency needs that come up along the way

Eric isn’t just a veteran. He’s a husband, a father, a brother, a son, a friend.

He’s someone who fights hard for the people he loves. Now it’s our turn to fight for him.
