On December 23, 2025, two days before Christmas, and after 38 years of service, Cindy's employer decided to terminate her employment without any warning, and without any severance.

This decision was not due to performance issues or off-shoring, but because Cindy's battle with stage 4 colon cancer has apparently dragged on too long for her employer's liking. She was given a maximum timeframe of 9 months to be out on disability, but is currently still undergoing treatment.

Now, she is facing unemployment, no income, and exponentially higher insurance costs, all near the end her treatment. She has recently completed chemo treatment #16 of 20, so the finish line is in sight!
