On December 8, 2025, our family’s world was turned upside down when our son, Chris, was involved in a devastating car accident. According to the police report, there was no alcohol involved, for which we are deeply grateful. Chris sustained a severe head injury, lost consciousness at the scene, and woke up in the hospital with no memory of what had happened. Because of the impact to his head, doctors are still trying to understand exactly how the accident unfolded. From that moment on, our lives have revolved around hospitals, scans, and prayers.
After weeks of hospitalization, Chris was discharged and briefly able to return home. We were filled with hope as he prepared for follow-up appointments, surgery consultations, and physical therapy. However, since Sunday, January 4th, Chris has been back in the hospital after doctors discovered fragmented pieces of glass still lodged in his head during a new CT scan. He now faces another head surgery, reopening a chapter we prayed was behind us. In addition, Chris has developed a large blood clot in his leg, creating yet another serious medical concern.
While Chris is fighting to heal physically, the emotional toll has been just as heavy. He is frustrated, overwhelmed, and struggling with the reality of limited movement and dependence on others. As parents, watching our child endure pain, fear, and uncertainty has been unbearable at times. Yet through it all, we remain thankful to God, to the doctors and nurses caring for him, and to everyone who has checked in, prayed, and offered support.
The financial impact of this accident has been devastating. The vehicle involved was uninsured, leaving our family responsible for mounting medical bills, surgeries, rehabilitation, and legal fees. We had to take out a second mortgage on our home in an effort to keep up with the overwhelming expenses.
Asking for help is not easy, but we can no longer do this alone. Any donation, prayer, or share of this page means more than words can express. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us as we continue to fight for Chris’s healing and recovery.
