UPDATE ENGLISH:
It is with heavy hearts that we share that our beloved Chris passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026.
Although we will no longer need funds for continued medical care, our family has accumulated a significant amount of debt from Chris’s hospital stay and emergency treatments. The funds raised will now be used to help cover $X toward the hospital bills, as well as funeral and memorial expenses, transportation of Chris’s body from Mexico to the United States, and other related costs as we make arrangements and support our parents during this incredibly difficult time.
This has been an unexpected and overwhelming loss for our family, and we are doing our best to navigate everything while grieving. Any support, whether through donations, prayers, or sharing this fundraiser, means more than we can express.

Con el corazón profundamente quebrantado, compartimos que nuestro amado Chris falleció el sábado 3 de enero de 2026.
Aunque ya no necesitaremos fondos para su atención médica continua, nuestra familia ha acumulado una gran cantidad de deuda debido a la hospitalización y los tratamientos de emergencia de Chris. We are reaching out as a family during one of the most difficult moments of our lives.
Our son and brother, Chris, recently had to undergo surgery in Mexico after doctors found a tumor in his nose/sinus area. What we thought would be a straightforward surgery quickly turned into a life-threatening situation. Since the operation, Chris’s body has begun to shut down, and he is currently in the ICU with multiple organs failing.
The hospital he is currently in is extremely expensive, and Chris needs to be transferred to another hospital. However, doctors have warned us that the transfer itself is very risky and that there is a possibility he could pass away during the process. Despite the risks, keeping him where he is is financially impossible for our family.
We are trying to raise $150,000 to help cover medical expenses, ICU care, and the cost of transferring Chris to a hospital that can continue his treatment. Our dad, Ray, is the sole provider for our family of five, and this sudden crisis has placed an overwhelming financial burden on him.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, Ray and Ashlee, are unable to travel out of the country. Our mom, Luly, is currently in Mexico caring for Chris alongside our younger brother, Caleb, while we do everything we can from here to support them.
We are asking for help with humility and faith. We believe and trust that God will provide, whether through donations, prayers, or sharing this fundraiser. Any amount helps, and if you are unable to donate, we ask that you please keep Chris and our family in your prayers.

Nos acercamos a ustedes como familia durante uno de los momentos más difíciles de nuestras vidas.
Nuestro hijo y hermano, Chris, recientemente tuvo que someterse a una cirugía en México después de que los médicos encontraran un tumor en el área de la nariz y los senos nasales. Lo que pensamos que sería una cirugía sencilla rápidamente se convirtió en una situación que puso su vida en peligro. Desde la operación, el cuerpo de Chris ha comenzado a fallar y actualmente se encuentra en la unidad de cuidados intensivos (UCI) con múltiples órganos comprometidos.
El hospital en el que se encuentra actualmente es extremadamente costoso, y Chris necesita ser trasladado a otro hospital. Sin embargo, los médicos nos han advertido que el traslado en sí es muy riesgoso y que existe la posibilidad de que fallezca durante el proceso. A pesar de los riesgos, mantenerlo donde está es financieramente imposible para nuestra familia.

UPDATE ENGLISH:
Doctors discovered a blood clot in Chris’s brain and immediately took him into surgery to remove it. Unfortunately, during the procedure, the medical team found that the clot was extremely complex and surrounded by many veins. Because of this, and due to excessive bleeding in his brain, they were forced to stop the surgery as it became too risky to continue.
After the surgery, Chris suffered a heart attack and a stroke. He has remained in a coma since then. Doctors have now declared him brain dead and have told us that it is only a matter of time before his other organs begin to fail. His kidneys have already started to shut down. At this time, doctors are waiting for our family to make the decision about disconnecting life support.
As children of God, we believe that life and death are not in human hands, but in the Lord’s. We are continuing to pray, trusting God completely, and waiting for a miracle according to His will.

Los doctores encontraron un coágulo de sangre en el cerebro de Chris y lo llevaron de inmediato a cirugía para intentar removerlo. Lamentablemente, durante la operación descubrieron que el coágulo era muy complejo y estaba rodeado de muchas venas. Debido a esto, y a que su cerebro estaba sangrando demasiado, el equipo médico tuvo que detener la cirugía porque el riesgo era muy alto.
Después de la cirugía, Chris sufrió un ataque al corazón y un derrame cerebral. Desde entonces, ha permanecido en coma. Los doctores han declarado que Chris tiene muerte cerebral y nos han informado que es solo cuestión de tiempo antes de que los demás órganos comiencen a fallar. Sus riñones ya han empezado a colapsar. En este momento, los doctores están esperando que nuestra familia tome la decisión de desconectarlo del soporte vital.
Como hijos de Dios, creemos que la vida y la muerte no están en manos humanas, sino en las manos del Señor. Seguimos orando, confiando plenamente en Dios y esperando un milagro conforme a Su voluntad.
