Baby Scarlett was born January 6th at Waupun Hospital, before being transferred to Children's hospital a few days later. She wasn't eating and was very lethargic, doctors couldn't figure out why. After having an MRI they found bleeding on her brain and the whole left side of her brain is damaged. She had to undergo surgery to remove the excess fluid. They placed a reservoir in her brain to help remove all of the blood, she will need multiple "taps" to drain the fluid. Doctors aren't sure how many she will need. So far they have done it 4 times, removing over 25mls per day. When they reach a point where they cannot extract any more fluid they will remove the reservoir and place a shunt. Recovery is going to be long and hard, we are unsure what the outcome will be. There are a lot of unknowns right now. Unsure of when Miss Scarlett will be able to come home. With 3 babies at home and their father Mason working as the sole provider of the home, this family urgently needs support.

Shania is driving to Milwaukee multiple times a week to spend as much time as she can with her newborn baby. Her 3 big sisters aren't able to visit her yet, so they have to find a sitter each time she wants to go see her precious Scarlett because Mason has to keep working to try to keep them afloat.
