Alexander “Alex” Junior Ramsour is a Texas father of three — two toddlers who depend on him every day and an 18-year-old son who looks to him as an example of resilience and growth.

Alex did not have an easy upbringing. Like many who grow up with hardship, he made mistakes when he was younger and served time in a Texas penitentiary. But prison did not define him, it transformed him. While incarcerated, Alex committed himself to rehabilitation. He completed programs, worked on himself, and prepared for a better future. When he was released, he chose a different path.

He worked hard to rebuild his life the right way.

Alex earned his CDL and was preparing to start a new chapter, a steady career in trucking that would allow him to provide for his children and create the stability he never had growing up. He was determined to be present, responsible, and dependable — the kind of father his toddlers and teenage son could be proud of.

But just as he was getting back on his feet, Alex discussed a case of sexual assault case that affected him and his family. After speaking out and participating in a podcast appearance where the truth would come to light, he began receiving threats. Instead of being protected for doing the right thing, Alex faced harassment and retaliation.

Because of this backlash, he lost access to services and stability he had worked so hard to secure. A man who had already paid his debt to society and rebuilt himself found himself fighting once again — not because of wrongdoing, but because he stood up and told the truth.

Alex is not asking for a handout. He is asking for a chance.
