It is with heavy hearts that we share some difficult news with our RiseUp community.

One of our incredible trainers, Stacee, has been diagnosed with a type of brain tumor called a meningioma.

While this is a serious diagnosis, there is hope. Stacee’s medical team has shared that the condition is treatable, there is only a slight chance it is cancerous, and there is a strong possibility of a full recovery. She is scheduled to undergo surgery on January 6th to remove the tumor. Although the surgeon is optimistic, the tumor’s location makes the procedure more complex.

Many of you know Stacee as a dedicated and uplifting presence at RiseUp: someone who brings great playlists, thoughtful coaching, and genuine encouragement to everyone she meets. Beyond RiseUp, Stacee has devoted more than 20 years of her life to working with children as a preschool teacher at Evergreen School, touching countless families along the way.

As you know, RiseUp is more than a workout -- it’s a community. And when one of our own is in need, it’s a time for us to come together and offer our support.

As the founders of RiseUp Fitness (Addie, Emily, and Kyle), we set out to build more than a fitness studio. We built RiseUp with the intention to create a true community, one that shows up for one another during moments like this. This is what family does.

We don’t often come to our community with an ask, but this is one of those moments where support can make a meaningful difference.
