Our family is walking through an unthinkable time. Emily Trust experienced a tragic incident that left her with an irreversible brain injury, and she passed on September 11, 2025. In her final act of love as an organ donor, Emily gave the gift of life to others. We are heartbroken and grieving, but we are holding one another close and finding strength in her incredible legacy of love.
Emily’s greatest joy was her daughter, Jordan. Jordan is now beginning her senior year of high school — a year meant for joy, celebration, and dreaming about the future. While her daily needs are lovingly provided for by her family, we know how much lies ahead for her: finishing school strong, senior events, applying to colleges, managing life expenses, and preparing to step into adulthood.
So many friends and loved ones have asked how they can help. After much thought, our family has decided to create this GoFundMe to start a future needs and college fund for Jordan. All contributions will be placed into an account exclusively for Jordan and managed by my husband and me (her aunt and uncle) with the sole purpose of helping her launch into the future that her mom — and all of us — dreamed for her.
We do not take the act of asking for financial support lightly. We are doing this because we know how deeply Emily was loved, and we believe she would want nothing more than to see Jordan supported, encouraged, financially secure, and empowered to chase her dreams.
Your gift — no matter the size — is a way of standing beside Jordan in this season and reminding her she is not alone. Your prayers, encouragement, and generosity mean more to our family than we can ever express.
In this time of loss, we ask that conversations focus on celebrating Emily’s life, her love for Jordan, and the joy she brought to those around her. Please refrain from speculation or searching for answers. That is how we honor her — with love, with grace, and with hope for Jordan’s future.
With gratitude,
Robin Hungerford
