At just 30 years old, Gavin is facing the fight of his life — but we are holding onto faith every step of the way.
Gavin was born with a rare immune disorder called XLA (X-linked agammaglobulinemia), a condition that has now caused severe damage to his lungs and led to the heartbreaking reality of needing a double lung transplant at such a young age.
For the past several months, his wife has had to completely step away from work to care for Gavin full-time while also caring for their two young children. Together, they are carrying an unimaginable emotional, physical, and financial burden — but continue to lean on God through it all.
Right now, Gavin is being evaluated for two possible transplant options:• A double lung transplant in Torontoor• A double lung + bone marrow transplant in Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania option could potentially change everything. Unlike Canada, they are able to perform a bone marrow transplant alongside the lung transplant — something that could essentially treat the underlying immune disorder itself, not just the lung damage. This option could dramatically improve Gavin’s long-term life expectancy and give him a future that once felt impossible.
If approved for either transplant, their family will have to leave home for an unknown amount of time with very little financially while bills, travel expenses, accommodations, meals, childcare needs, and countless unexpected costs continue to accumulate.
We truly believe God opens doors where there seems to be none, and we are praying for a miracle, wisdom for the doctors, and the strength to keep moving forward one day at a time.
We are asking for prayers above all else — but if you feel led to help support Gavin and his family during this journey, every donation and every share means more than words can express.
Thank you for standing beside this family in faith, love, and hope.
