A standing frame for Jasper.

Donation protected
Let’s get behind Jasper and his beautiful family and get the little man a standing frame, which would be such a huge benefit to his development.
These frames cost $10,000, and every little bit counts.
Jasper is now 18 months old and the youngest of a family of 5, and his ongoing costs to keep him moving forward are horrendous. Beck his mother doesn’t want Charity but all her friends want to help so let’s help.
See Jaspers story below;

Jasper was born in June 2017 and is the youngest of 5 children. He is adored by his family and has a beautiful nature that draws people in. He is a very loved little boy.
Just after Jasper was born the midwives noticed some differences with him so referred us to the paediatric specialists at the hospital. They too made note of him looking a bit different and recommended we do some further testing, this testing came back with results we weren't prepared for. He was diagnosed with a chromosome syndrome called 49 xxxxy. This is so rare that even the paediatrician couldn't give us information on it so we had to research it ourselves.
Jasper's syndrome affects 1in 80000, to 100000 births, there is around 4000 Boys/men with this syndrome worldwide and only a handful in Australia.
The thing with X chromosomes, the more you have the more affected you are, so with an extra 3 X's he has it has caused global developmental delays for him, however we have so much hope that in time he will be able to meet his milestones.
Jasper is non verbal and not able to get around like a typical child. He cannot stand and tires easily. Recently we have been able to loan a standing frame for him to trial and it has been a big part in helping him not only get some strength, but to be able to interact with the world around him a little bit more. Unfortunately we have to return the frame and we don't know when we will be able to access another as we were on a waiting list for 6 months to be able to get this one.
We are on the list to be able to access the NDIS eventually however we have been told it is going to be closer to March before we are able to even be seen let alone put in requests for what equipment we need for him. That is a lot of time.
There are many benefits for a child to learn to stand and he will get so much from being able to use a frame regularly.
His internal organs will be able to function properly; his respiration, digestion, bowel and bladder function will be improved as well as some big improvements in his skeletal and muscular development. He will also be a lot more interactive with the world and people around him which will be wonderful for him and everyone else.
