Standing by My Sister-Brain Mass Diagnosis & Treatment Fund

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I'm reaching out on behalf of my amazing sister, who at just 32 years old is facing an incredibly difficult and frightening medical journey. For a few months now, she has been experiencing blurred vision, headaches, forgetfulness, mood changes, and anxiety. Her family doctor set her up for an MRI of the brain. On May 14th, the day after her birthday, she was diagnosed with a brain mass. The mass has significantly changed in size, ranging from as small as 2.1 cm to as big as 3.7 cm, located in the thalamus, the deep part of her brain, which doctors explained is inoperable.

After being admitted to the University of Michigan Hospital for 9 days, a biopsy was performed, but unfortunately, it was inconclusive.

Now, she has been readmitted to U of M Hospital, where she will stay for the next two weeks. During this time, her doctors will closely monitor the mass and attempt a second biopsy in hopes of getting clearer answers and determining the best course of treatment. They want to try this with no steroids for the next 2 weeks, repeat the MRI, and then go from there. With all of the scans and procedures done, they are leaning towards a lymphoma.

This has turned our lives upside down. The physical and emotional toll is enormous, and so are the financial burdens. We're starting this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of her ongoing medical care, including hospital stays, procedures, and follow-up treatments—as well as travel expenses for her and our family as we navigate this together.
