Hello everyone,

We are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of our dear friend — our chosen sister — Lauren. If you know Lauren, you know her heart: she is a mother, daughter, cousin, friend, and fierce advocate for what is right. She has spent years in an emotional and exhausting battle to protect her daughter’s wellbeing, navigating a custody process that has brought ongoing emotional and financial strain.

From day one, Lauren has prioritized her daughter’s needs with unwavering devotion. She has worked tirelessly, with patience and integrity, always trying to co-parent as a team — even when that effort was not met in return. Despite the roadblocks, she has continued to show up for her daughter with strength and love.

Right now, Lauren is approaching one of the most difficult chapters yet: trial. While only 1% of family law cases reach this point, Lauren has found herself on that doorstep — not for lack of trying to resolve things peacefully, but because she refused to compromise her daughter’s best interests.

This is where we come in.

Lauren is not someone who asks for help. She continues to work hard and do everything in her power to stay afloat — emotionally, legally, and financially. But the reality is that trial and its surrounding legal costs are heavy. We want to rally around her, just as she has done for so many of us.

Why We’re Fundraising

This GoFundMe will help cover:

• Legal fees

• Court costs

• Related expenses tied to Lauren’s continued fight for her daughter

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help lighten this burden. If we are fortunate enough to raise more than is needed, Lauren will donate any excess funds to her local women’s shelter (https://mysistersplace.ca/).

About Lauren

Lauren is a light in this world. She truly cares — about people, about the earth, and about doing what is right. She has a heart of gold. She is the kind of person who checks in, shows up, works hard, and gives without asking for anything in return. Her love for her daughter is the center of her universe, and she has moved mountains to ensure her child feels safe, protected, and free to grow into the beautiful person she’s becoming.

Now, it’s time for us to move some mountains for her.

No one should have to go through what Lauren and her family have endured — and certainly not alone. This is our chance to stand by someone who has stood by so many others.
