On August 10 our amazing Zoey lost her best friend, Chris, suddenly and unexpectedly. Zoey and Chris have been living together and supporting one another for seven years. They care for their four dogs and one cat and have built a strong community of friends in their town of Deer River, Minnesota. Chris's death is a loss that will be felt by not just Zoey, but all their friends and family members. Chris was a rare person who seemed to effortlessly care for others and gave of himself often and without asking for much in return. This fundraiser will be used to support Zoey and her family through this transition to life without Chris. It will likely go toward relocation and travel costs, and caring for their household of animals. We want Zoey to feel the love and support of all those around her and those far away. Any money raised here will be a resource to help her care for herself, her fuzzy babies, and to have access to reaching her family members who live all over the state of Minnesota.
