Yasmine & Yehia Mohammed were married in July 2023, three months before Israel began it's ceaseless bombardment of Gaza. Yasmine and Yehia have since been displaced countless times due to bombings, low access to food, disease, and harsh weather conditions. Yasmine is an aspiring mother and was recently forced to abort a pregnancy due to malnutrition. Throughout this time, Yasmine and Yehia have survived on one time donations collected by reaching out to people individually on Instagram and relying on community members to fundraise for them. This process is exhausting and unreliable, as Yasmine and Yehia often have no idea how much money they will have for food and other survival needs on a specific day or week. It also requires them to constantly manage online relationships with people if they want to receive care. This is inhumane and unsustainable. To remedy this, we are looking to create a network of monthly donors, so that Yasmine and Yehia are able to focus on surviving and rebuilding their lives, rather than being forced to maintain online relationships during a genocide. This page is for those committed to providing Yasmine and Yehia with monthly donations. One-time donations are still greatly appreciated, but we want to emphasize the importance of providing a consistent income for this amazing couple.
