Stand with Yarima and her 3 Children to Bring Dad Home (Español abajo)

On Sunday, August 31, Kerwin was pulled over on his way to work as a delivery driver by ICE and detained. Kerwin and Yarmina have three children together: a 12-year old son, a 9-year old son, and a 5-year old daughter. The family recently moved from Washington, DC to Maryland to be further away from the heightened and ongoing ICE activity in the city. Kerwin was initially taken to the Farmville detention center in Virginia, but the family has had challenges finding him in the ICE database. Yarima and her children are unsure of his current whereabouts, but the last time Yarima spoke with Kerwin, he said he would likely be transferred to a detention center in Louisiana. Yarima is very concerned that Kerwin may be deported.

Yarima, now a solo parent, tries to pick up shifts as a home cleaner when she can, but the opportunities are limited. Without family nearby, she has a limited support system. She is also in the process of transferring her children from Washington, DC schools to Maryland schools. Please consider donating any amount to stand with Yarima, Kerwin, and their three young children. Funds will be used to support rent, groceries, and lawyer fees. Thank you for supporting this family!

It is often needed for legal services to free their loved ones, but it is also critical to ensure they can afford rent, food, medicine, transportation and other basic needs with the loss of income and the grief they are going through.***
