On behalf of and with permission from American Legion - Stickney Post #687, we have started a GoFundMe to assist them with their legal fees and overall costs to keep their organization afloat during this trying time.

In summary, Post #697 has been a target in the very community in which they provide service and sanctuary to the veterans within their area. They are being pressured out of their location by the town mayor for his own personal gain and interests, with no consideration for the veterans that call this place home. Forcing financial interruption in their day-to-day business, putting their very existence in jeopardy, with citations and fines issued without merit. That being said, they have not been able to run the organization as it is intended and routinely earn revenue due to constant closings and illegal/dirty tactics from the town. Therefore, they have sought counsel and have retained a lawyer, in which they need financial assistance to carry them through the legal proceedings and pay their everyday bills.
