As many of you may already know, my sister-in-law, Pang Voua (lovingly known as Vee), is currently facing an incredibly tough battle against invasive tongue cancer, having been diagnosed in October 2024. Since November, she has been unable to work as she fights through her treatment journey, which has included a major surgery called a hemiglossectomy. This difficult procedure involved removing the tumor from her tongue, but sadly, the extent of the cancer required the removal of three-quarters of her tongue. To help reconstruct her tongue, surgeons utilized a graft from her thigh.

Vee’s recovery process has been challenging; she had a feeding tube (g-tube) placed to ensure she receives proper nutrition and spent nearly two weeks in the hospital. She is now undergoing radiation therapy, remaining hopeful in her fight to eliminate all traces of cancer. Additionally, she participates in weekly physical and speech therapy sessions aimed at improving her right arm's function, managing lymphedema, and enhancing her speech and swallowing abilities.

With my brother-in-law being the sole provider for their family of 3 during this critical time, I am organizing a GoFundMe campaign to alleviate their financial strain. The funds raised will directly support Vee’s medical bills, prescriptions, necessary medical supplies, and essential household expenses. I kindly ask for your help.
