On June 9th, our beloved uncle was wrongfully taken by ICE after attending a scheduled court appearance. The judge had just told him he could stay—but moments later, ICE officers approached him outside the courtroom under the pretense of looking for someone else. When he asked who they were searching for, they gave a name that wasn’t his. Despite this, when he presented his ID, they detained him.

He is now being held in immigration custody—separated from his family, his wife, and his three children. His wife is currently facing serious medical challenges and is in need of urgent surgeries. With their father gone, the children are doing their best to care for their mother while navigating this heartbreaking and overwhelming situation.

We are trying to hire a new immigration lawyer. The first attorney charged us $1,500 just to speak with him briefly, only to tell us there was no hope. But we believe there is hope, and we are not giving up on him or his family.

This situation is affecting countless families, and while our hearts break for everyone going through it, we are reaching out in hopes of finding support. Every donation, no matter how small, will help us cover legal fees and support the family through this crisis.
