Stand with Ukraine: Support Our Community

The war in Ukraine has turned the lives of millions upside down. Families have been torn apart, with thousands fleeing their homes to find safety for themselves and their children. The British people and government have extended an incredible hand of support and kindness, offering refuge and hope to those who have lost so much.

As representatives of Ukrainians in Basingstoke, we saw the great need to create a welcoming community for those newly arrived and those who have been living here since the start of the war. Immigration can feel like losing a loved one—you lose your surroundings, habits, people, home and partly yourself.

Ukrainian-British Support for Ukrainians in Basingstoke was born out of the necessity to support Ukrainians, helping them find a sense of belonging, support each other, and maintain our rich cultural traditions. We strive to share the beauty of our culture with British people and other nationalities.

But we can't do it alone. We need your help. Jane Goodall once said, "You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make."
